PAK vs NZ 2nd ODI pitch report: National Stadium Karachi pitch report tomorrow match
New Zealand will take on Pakistan in the 2nd ODI of the 3-match ODI series at the National Stadium in Karachi on Wednesday. The hosts won the first ODI, and they will be looking to win the series, whereas this is a do-or-die game for the visitors.
Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan again proved their class in the white-ball format, whereas Fakhar Zaman was great as well in the 1st ODI. The way Naseem Shah is bowling is a great sight to watch as he is slowly becoming an all-format bowler. This side looks quite stable on paper.
It is clear that New Zealand underperformed in the 1st match as the pitch was not that tough for batting. The players like Kane Williamson, Devon Conway, Tom Latham, etc, this team has the ability to bounce back. New Zealand’s bowling is a thing of worry for them.
PAK vs NZ 2nd ODI pitch report
The National Stadium in Karachi is historically been a great track for batting, and we saw the same in the test series as well. New Zealand’s batters could not execute their plans properly in the first innings, but the pitch had no visible demons in the last match as well.
This is a flat track, but the pacers can get some movement in the initial overs of the first innings. The pitch gets a little slow as the match progresses, and the spinners have a big part to play in the middle overs. If the batters can get set, they have all the time in the world to post a big total here.
The boundaries of this ground are small, whereas the outfield is quite fast as well. A high-scoring encounter can be expected in the 2nd ODI if both teams can execute their plans well. The batting becomes easier under lights in the 2nd innings and both captains may opt to bowl upon winning the toss.
