WATCH: Verstappen calls Ocon a p***y, Raikkonen and Hamilton smile
Verstappen and Ocon were involved in an ugly incident at the Brazil GP yesterday with the duo colliding whilst Verstappen was leading the race.
Ocon tried to unlap himself but only managed to run into Verstappen, who according to Ocon did not quite give him the space and thus Ocon had no place to go.
Verstappen though wasn’t interested in listening to all of the excuses that Ocon was dishing out as according to him it was clear that Ocon tried to indulge in a wheel-to-wheel battle with the race leader, something that just wasn’t acceptable.
Verstappen could have backed out of the fight, as he anyways would have been able to get past Ocon in a lap or two. But the young Dutch driver decided to take matters in his own hands and get past Ocon, something that didn’t quite work out for the duo, as they collided and spun.
Hamilton took advantage of the situation, regaining his lost lead and controlled the race pace from thereon to win the Brazilian GP.
Hamilton had a piece of advise for Verstappen in the cool down room, advising him on how he should have backed out of the contest as he had a lot to lose there.
Verstappen was then involved in a ‘pushing contest’ with Ocon, with the young Dutch driver venting his frustration out with a couple of pushes.
In the post race press conference, Verstappen called Ocon a pussy, with both Hamilton and Raikkonen passing a smirk.
