Switzerland are on their heels with 8 points and a game in hand. It will however, be an uphill task for the Swiss side to outright qualify for the Euro now. They will hope for the other two teams to drop points along the way. A huge demand considering neither of the two top teams have lost a game yet.

The match involved some of football’s top stars such as Christian Eriksen, Kasper Schmeichel and Granit Xhaka. However, it was the latter along with teammate Stephan Lichtsteiner who stole the show; unfortunately for the wrong reason.

So ridiculous was their attempt that not only the viewers but their teammates were confused of what was happening. It made for an even more humorous viewing.

After the match, Vladimir Petkovic praised Kasper Schmeichel for his performance.

‘If it wasn’t for their goalkeeper, we would have scored three goals,’ the Switzerland manager said.

‘It was still a good performance.

‘We can take that into Tuesday’s game against Ireland.’
