Arsenal’s Carl Jenkinson rumoured to join Swansea City
Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson is linked with a move to Swansea City.
Carl Jenkinson joined Arsenal in 2011 from Charlton Athletic. However, since joining the Gunners, he has only made 38 league appearances so far. The English right-back has spent the last three seasons out of the club on loan at Premier League and Championships sides.
He could only make 7 league appearances for Birmingham City last season. On his return to Arsenal, the new head-coach Unai Emery reportedly told him that he will not be the part of his plans this season.
Jenkinson’s girlfriend, Emily Shah, today posted a story of herself at Swansea stadium on Instagram. This has further fuelled rumours about his departure from the club.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are reportedly in talks with Besiktas for the transfer of Domagoj Vida as well. The club has been quite active in the transfer market this summer as Unai Emery oversaw a squad overhaul at the club.
The Gunners have completed five signings so far, while Jack Wilshere joined West Ham United on a permanent transfer. Santi Cazorla also left the club after spending the whole season on sidelines due to injury. The Spanish international is currently a free agent.
Arsenal will begin their Premier League season on August 12, when they meet defending champions Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium. City started their season with a convincing win over Chelsea in the Community Shield.
This will also be Arsenal’s first official match under their new head-coach Unai Emery.
