Barcelona offer Chelsea Dembele for Hazard
Eden Hazard has been confused over his Chelsea future since a long time now. Reports have claimed that the Belgian also denied a contract extension at the club and waited for transfer movements and clearance of their managerial speculation.
However, after the World Cup, Hazard has stated his desire to leave Chelsea. This could primarily be due to Antonio Conte’s sacking and Hazard’s desire to play Champions League football. The 27 year old playmaker has now been linked with a move to Spain.
Belgium’s arch left winger is a huge admirer of Real Madrid and Zinedine Zidane. He stated his desire to play for the Whites even after the departure of the French coach, and the links have continued to become stronger since Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure. Real Madrid hence are the frontrunners for Hazard’s signing.
Barcelona, who are also looking for a midfield overhaul, have added Hazard to their shortlist.
Mirror UK has claimed in a latest article that the Catalan giants are ready to offer Ousmane Dembele in a player plus cash deal for the Belgium captain.
Dembele has struggled at the Camp Nou to find top form ever since joining Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund. As a result, Ernesto Valverde might be ready to sacrifice the France youngster.
Eden Hazard played a massive role in Belgium’s World Cup campaign when they finished third. He was also awarded with the Silver Ball for his sensational exploits. As it seems through his words, Hazard’s mind is only on playing for Real Madrid now- ahead of Chelsea. However, nothing in football can be ruled out.
