Besiktas want to sign David Ospina and the officials are in London to work out a potential deal.
Besiktas and Arsenal are on the verge of completing a series of deadline day deals. As a result, the Turkish club’s officials were spotted in London yesterday. The main reason for them travelling was not just to sell of Domagoj Vida to the Gunners, but also to complete a few deals for themselves.
Besiktas have been linked with a few of Arsenal’s players. David Ospina and Danny Welbeck are the names for whom deals could be struck, while Lucas Perez, who was another of their targets has left for West Ham United.
Club president Fikret Orman and everyone at the club is a big fan of Arsenal’s goalkeeper David Ospina. The Colombia international’s departure is looking imminent after the arrival of Bernd Leno.
The Beşiktaş delegation in London have agreed personal terms with David Ospina. Which comes as little surprise. BJK are offering him a first-team role, long term contract, competitive wages. The problem there is no deal yet with Arsenal, who want to sell. BJK would prefer a loan

The German’s arrival from Bayer Leverkusen has most likely pushed Petr Cech to being at second spot. This in turn signifies David Ospina’s relegation to being third choice, which potentially means extremely less playing time. The 29 year old is therefore looking to move out of London to taste new pastures.
Besiktas are favourites to land him. It has been claimed that personal terms have been agreed between the Turks and their potential new candidate and only a deal with Arsenal remains to be struck. The Gunners want to permanently get rid of the deadweight, while the Turkish club is willing to make only a loan move.
Thankfully for Besiktas and Ospina, time isn’t a worry as far as the deal going through is concerned. Arsenal will not be allowed to sign players after Thursday’s 5pm deadline, however, they can still sell players to other clubs.
This means that Besiktas and Arsenal have three weeks to close in on an agreement regarding the former Atletico Nacional goalie’s transfer. In other news, the Gunners will be hoping to quickly wrap up a deal for Domagoj Vida.
