BUR vs MCI Dream11: Guardiola losing grip on the Championship dreams, as the defending champions trail the table toppers by 11 points.
Usually a fixture against Manchester City promises a one side affair, contrarily Manchester City find themselves in an unusual position traveling up North to Burnley. The visitors have just won 1 out of their last 5 games in all competitions. The Citizens need to get back to winning terms if they want to stay in the championship hunt against the Invincible Reds.
An injury hit squad offers limited defensive options, to make things worse they have managed only two clean sheets so far this season. Man City has been conceding an average of 1.14 goals per game, but also have scored an average of 2.57 goals per away game.
In a highly competitive league the hosts look to get ahead in the intense mid-table battle this season. It’s been a roller coaster season for Burnley so far, losing their last fixture against Crystal Palace on Sunday the hosts find themselves 10th on the table. Burnley who was known for their defensive play so far have changed their approach and have taken the attack against their oppositions, scoring a healthy 2.85 goals every game.
Burnley would be boosted by the return of Westwood. The hosts have won 4 out of their 5 games on their home turf at the Turf Moor Stadium. Sean Dyche would be hoping for a strong response from his side on Tuesday.
The midweek fixture is a very important tie for both the teams. Both sides have been struggling to find consistency as they walk into their 15th game of the season.
Charley Taylor is doubtful of featuring in the home fixture of Tuesday, which means Erik Pieters would start for Burnley.

BUR vs MCI Dream11 Goalkeeper
Nick Pope so far this season has had staggering 5 clean sheets with 6 being the highest in the EPL this season. Pope is expected to have a busy game tonight and likewise also expected to score more Dream 11 points. For me Pope is an obvious choice as his selection also helps me fill the minimum quota of 4 players from each team.
BUR vs MCI Dream11 Defenders
Since I expect this to be a high scoring game I have selected only 3 defenders, I expect both teams to score and that’s why I haven’t favoured defenders only from one team. Kyle Walker has scored and assisted goals for the visitors and I expect him to have a busy game tonight. John Stones has been monumental for City at the back, he has managed waves after waves of opposition attacks and has cleared of 23 dangerous attacks. Erik Pieters has 26 clearances to his name and also has assisted 3 goals so far this season.
BUR vs MCI Dream11 Midfielders
I was hoping for an all City midfield but due to credit restrictions and minimum selection criteria from each team I was forced to pick Ashley Westwoods who is just returning back to side. Rodri is a delight to have in any squad, his work rate and the presence in the squad makes him an automatic choice.
Kevin De Bruyne’ s return to the line up has been instrumental with 4 goals and 9 assists he is rated as one of the most valuable players of the league. Bernardo Silva has 2 goals and 5 assists under his belt this season.
BUR vs MCI Dream11 Forwards
Sergio Aguero will be missed in this fixture as he suffers a thigh injury. In Spite of his absence we still have a star studded forward line up and I have selected three forwards. I have taken my chances by selecting Gabrial Jesus as he has not had the best of the seasons but he is a player who can prove lethal against any opposition.
Raheem Sterling has scored 8 goals this season and would like to go pass Aguero’s tally of 9 goals. Ashley Barnes has scored 6 goals and is the highest goal scorer for the hosts this season. I expect Barnes to score tonight.
BUR vs MCI Dream11 Captain and Vice Captain
Since I am anticipating a 1-3 victor in favour of the visitors I expect Sterling, De Bruyne, B Silva and Barnes to score. Considering the current form I feel De Bruyne and Sterling would be scoring the maximum Dream 11 Points and that’s the reason they would be my power players for Tonight’s game
