Cristiano Ronaldo makes a huge claim about his future following Zinedine Zidane’s return to Real Madrid.

Real Madrid have been suffering since the departure of their record goalscorer Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer transfer window. The Portuguese International decided to move to the Italian giants Juventus for a fee of 100 million euros following the Champions League triumph in Kiev last campaign.

The current Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane decided to move on from the club after last season, but he was reinstated to the same position after ten months on February 11. Without the French International, results were not kind for the Los Blancos who look certain to go without any major trophies for the first time since 2014/15.

Zinedine Zidane was asked if his move back to Real Madrid would see Cristiano Ronaldo return to Santiago Bernabeu for the second time. However, he refused to rule out a move for former Real Madrid’s number 7.

“That isn’t the issue right now,” said the 46-year-old at his official unveiling. “The issue right now is that there are 11 games and we’re going to think about that.

“You know who Cristiano is, he’s in the history of this club and no-one’s going to change that. He’s been the best, one of the best, but he isn’t an issue for us right now. I’m not thinking about signings, only that I’m very happy to be back. I’m just thinking about the 11 games that we have left.

“We’ll have time to look at things with the right people and prepare for next season.”

Juventus forward says he is surprised to see the amount of quality at Italy as he continues to thrive in the Serie A by standing second in the top scoring chart.

“I’m happy to be in Italy and such a competitive League,” continued the Portuguese to DAZN.

“My experience has been very good so far. I feel good about myself. I feel suited to the Italian League and it’s a difficult League to play in. In my opinion, it’s most difficult for attackers. It’s a League with a lot of quality. I didn’t expect the Italian League to have so much quality.

Ronaldo, who decided to move to a new country insists that he does not miss Real Madrid or Spain despite receiving plenty of love from the Los Blancos faithful during the current slump.

“I’m happy, my family and children are happy. Everything is positive. We’ve settled well, my family loves Italy. It’s a different lifestyle, a different country, a different language, and a different culture, but I’ve adapted well.

“I’ve lived away from home since I was 11, so I have no problem adapting. I went to England when I was 18, Madrid when I was 25 and Turin when I was 33.

“It’s not difficult for me to adapt to a different country or culture. I don’t miss Spain or Portugal. Things are as they are.”

“Obviously I left behind a lot of friends, I left a big club. I left a club who gave me a lot of love, fans, friends… However, I don’t miss the country because I have the same things here. It wasn’t hard for me.

“Everything was very intense, interesting and different, but I adapted well I’m happy.” said Ronaldo.

The Portuguese International who has now played in top three European leagues out of five has said that Serie A is the toughest place to crack the nut. He insists that defensive qualities in Italy are far superior to Spain.

“In my opinion, it’s more difficult to score in Serie A than La Liga, which is more open,” explained Ronaldo.

“The teams take more risk there, while the priority here is to defend well and then attack. In Spain it’s not the case. There’s almost always a more open game.

“I also played in England for five years, but I still think it’s hardest to score in the Italian League.”

Juventus are currently 2-0 behind as they prepare for their biggest game of the season against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday. The Portuguese International says that it will be tough to break them down, but he believes to go through.

“It will be a difficult match. Atletico have played in two Champions League finals in the last four years.

“They have a team to win the Champions League and we know it will be hard but if we play well then we will go through.” he admitted.
