Dhoni has pushed down the order to about number 5, ever since Rayudu has started batting at 4. Hence, purely because of the opportunity to create more impact, I get Rishabh Pant in.
Bowlers for CSK vs DC Dream 11
Two South Africans, at the opposite sides of the age spectrum are ruling world and IPL cricket. Kagiso Rabada is strangling batsman in the death overs while Imran Tahir is bamboozling batsmen during the middle overs with his trickery. These two South Africans are the lynchpins of their respective bowling units and could be lethal on Wednesday. With the batsmen from this game not being too expensive, you can afford to get in the best bowlers on display.
Harbhajan Singh as flourished at the Chepauk this season, especially if the opposition has left-handers, and DC have 4 in the top 7. Bhajji who has helped himself to a couple of MotM awards at the Chepauk would be licking his lips at the proposition of bowling to 4 left-handers. Expect a 4 wicket haul? You could and he just might deliver.
Deepak Chahar has been brilliant with the ball this season, especially in the powerplay. He has now been entrusted with one over at the death too and hence that increases his Dream 11 fantasy potential.
All-Rounders for CSK vs DC Dream 11
Dwayne Bravo would be the first bowler that I get into my team for this game. He has been brilliant for CSK at the death, keeping the run flow intact and also claiming a few scalps. His dual role in the team is enough to warrant him a place in my side. Get him in for sure.
Batsmen for CSK vs DC Dream 11
Shikhar Dhawan and Shreyas Iyer have been playing some brilliant cricket for DC in the second half of the IPL, being a large reason for DC making it to the playoffs this time round. While Dhawan has taken the aggressor’s role in the last few games, Iyer has been patiently anchoring the innings and piling up the runs. On current form, get the duo in.
Shane Watson has finally found form for CSK and has been striking the ball brilliantly, thankfully right before the playoff stage. At the top of the order, during the powerplay, there are very few that are as dangerous as Shane Watson. Again on current form, don’t leave him out.
Prithvi Shaw would be my next pick for this game, largely because of his batting position and his ability to influence the game at the top. For my last pick, I would go in with one from Ambati Rayudu and Chris Morris.
Chris Morris would be number one choice, as he bowls at the death and can use the long handle to good effect. But if he doesn’t play, I would go in with Rayudu, who has been in fairly decent touch at number 4.
