Dan Ticktum’s social media post about his F3 weekend at the Red Bull ring hasn’t gone down well with fans, as the young driver subtly suggested that Mick Schumacher and Prema Powerteam could be using ‘unfair means’ in order to get more out of their car.
Ticktum was leading the F3 driver’s standings, until Schumacher won 5 races on the trot to take a 49 point lead at the top of the driver’s standings.
Ticktum has been incredibly hurt by the recent events, as he doesn’t quite understand how and where did Prema Powerteam(and Mick Schumacher) find the pace.
After he released his Instagram post last night, motorsport fans have been absolutely thrashing him for almost accusing Schumacher and his team for cheating.
While Ticktum shot down the ‘cheating’ comments, he said that fans don’t know the data crunching that goes down in the sport, and the data does reveal some ‘unusual things’ about Prema Powerteam’s progress.
“Then what are you insinuating? You had a bad weekend to anyone who saw the race, you made your profile public, you posted a very controversial post so I and anyone else have the right to say anything we like within reason.
“Great attitude you got there too mate, calling me a nobody, so bloody humble of you. You’ll go so far in this sport with an attitude like this.
Don’t even complain they might be doing something illegal, or if you do, do it behind closed doors because now you are just open to a whole wave of criticism.
You aren’t in the position to not care about what people think about you and what you say unlike say what Lewis said about the Ferrari’s “tactics” at Silverstone. Saying shit like this reflects very poorly on you.” a fan commented on Ticktum’s post
Ticktum didn’t just leave it there and instead took the conversation a little further by coming up with the ‘I am fighting a losing battle as my last name is not Schumacher’ comment.
“To all people who have left negative comments on here… this is the one and only response you will get from me, so enjoy it…. I’m not a sore loser. Neither am I salty. I have a huge respect for Mick who had dealt with a lot in the past few years.
“I am simply suggesting that it seems to have come from nowhere? I never said it was illegal. I appreciate I have lessons to learn still! I’m not denying that. You don’t know the real story because you are not at the track looking at everyone’s data.
“So I’m afraid I have to tell you that your opinion is invalid under these circumstances. I’ll say it only once more, unless you have something constructive to say, leave your useless, ill thought comments off my page as they have no evidence to ratify the truth.

Social media is a little taken aback by how Tickum is making public comments about all this and maybe digging a hole for himself.
