Real Madrid haven’t made a marquee signing for sometime now and with Zidane resigning after winning three consecutive Champions League titles, it seems as if Real Madrid will need to get at least one Galactico in this time round.

Also, with the World Cup going on, one would expect Real Madrid to go after at least one World Cup star, similar to how they went about business after the 2104 World Cup.

Eden Hazard has been knocking on that Santiago Bernabeu door for sometime now and with things not working out that well at Chelsea, it seems like this World Cup and Zidane’s shock retirement could pave way for Hazard’s transfer to Madrid.

Eden Hazard is amongst that bracket of players that pose a threat to the Messi-Ronaldo duopoly.

But will he actually move to Madrid?

In a recent interview in Russia, Hazard has claimed that Madrid know what to do in order to sign him.

Real Madrid were extremely interested in getting Hazard to the Spanish capital under Zidane’s reign, but a new manager will come up with new ideas and maybe with a new transfer policy.

Hazard has also emphasised on the fact that Antonio Conte’s future at Chelsea will have a massive influence on his decision.

“I wait to see whether the [Chelsea] coach will stay or leave,” Hazard told L’Equipe.

“If I stay it’s for the club to be better than last season. I don’t want to stay for us to be poorer.

Real Madrid could interest me, the world knows that. But if tomorrow this club does not want me any longer then we will not speak about it any longer.

“If they want to buy me they know what they need to do. I don’t want to go there just for the sake of it. There needs to be a project.

“There is still a project at Chelsea [two years left on his contract]. If I have a good World Cup, things will become easier.” he added.
