The first Test of the ongoing Bangladesh’s tour of India will commence from tomorrow at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. Having won the T20I series 2-1, the hosts would be looking to continue their unbeaten spree in the ICC World Test Championship.
Yet to play a match in the Test Championship, Bangladesh would be hoping to gain a few points from the series. Facing India in India in this format is among the most difficult tasks in world cricket at the moment. Hence, things won’t be simple for the visitors.
Bangladesh will also have to put in a solid performance in the absence of Shakib Al Hasan. Batsman Mominul Haque, who will be leading the side in Shakib’s absence, will allure plentiful eyeballs from tomorrow.

Pitch Report and Toss Prediction
The pitch at the Holkar Stadium is likely to favour the fast bowlers on Day 1. A quintessential Day 1 pitch, it should assist the batsmen who spend time on it. Therefore, you can also expect batsmen getting among the runs before the spinners come into play.
In the only Test played at the venue, India won the match by 321 runs after winning the toss and electing to bat. The same won’t be a bad decision after winning the toss but the captain might look at exploiting the bowler-friendly conditions tomorrow.
IND vs BAN Dream11 Team Prediction
IND vs BAN Dream11 Wicket-keepers
Bangladesh wicket-keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim is my only wicket-keeper batsman for this match. In the only Test that Bangladesh have played in India, Rahim ended up scoring a Test century and top-scoring for his team. I am backing the senior Bangladeshi cricketer to be among the runs again.
IND vs BAN Dream11 Batsmen
It was imperative for me to select one out of Mayank Agarwal and Rohit Sharma. It was Agarwal’s price of 8.5 credits which made me pick him ahead of Sharma.
I have also included India batsman Cheteshwar Pujara and captain Virat Kohli for this match. In the only Test that India have played in Indore, both Pujara and Kohli had scored individual centuries.
It is worth mentioning that India vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane had scored a career-best 188 (381) in the same match. You can pick Rahane ahead of Pujara. If you do the same, you will have an extra credit left with you which you can use to include Sharma instead of Agarwal.
Bangladesh captain Mominul Haque is my only specialist batsman from the visiting team. The 28-year old cricketer will be looking to lead from the front in his first match as captain.
IND vs BAN Dream11 All-rounders
Much like the series against South Africa, I am persisting with the Indian duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja in this category. The reason why I have made Ashwin the captain is because he was the Man of the Match when India last played a Test here.
Bangladesh all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz is my all-rounder from the visiting side. The off-spinner has impressed many in his 20-Test career and will be looking to exploit the conditions at the Holkar Stadium from now.
IND vs BAN Dream11 Bowlers
India are likely to play three fast bowlers tomorrow. I have included India fast bowlers in Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav for this match. While I have picked Sharma for his experience, Yadav was an automatic pick after considering his recent spells in the South Africa series. Be alert at the toss and make any changes if required.
Left-arm pacer Taijul Islam, who picked six wickets in the last Test that Bangladesh played against Afghanistan, is my only specialist fast bowler from the visiting team.
