Jose Mourinho shown yellow card for peeking into Southampton coach's notes

Jose Mourinho was shown a yellow card by the referee for peeking into Southampton coach’s note, sparks controversy amidst Spurs’ defeat.

Tottenham Hotspur had an underwhelming day on the field, as the Lilywhites lost against Southampton by 1-0 in the 21st game-week of the Premier League.

The North London club tried to overcome the minuscule lead by the Saints but was struggling to achieve the target. Southampton looked like they did their homework and nullified all the strategies by Tottenham.

Thus, it probably compelled Tottenham manager to peek into the gameplan of Southampton, as in the 78th minute of the game The Portuguese appeared to say something to the Saints member of staff.

While some were debating whether Mourinho was looking to get a sneak peek at their tactics. Mourinho was directly punished for his conduct and was shown a yellow card by the referee for his act. His habit certainly caused an outrageous reaction on social media.

Even the Southampton bench looked shocked with the actions of Mourinho and did not know how to make a response to it. Nevertheless, the act by Mourinho could not help Tottenham as they finally lost the game by 1-0.

Danny Ings who is in a splendid form made the difference in the game, as his lone goal helped Southampton to earn 10 points in the last four matches, which has brought them at the 11th position.

Just a few weeks ago, the Saints were at their worst, struggling in the relegation zone and a humiliating 9-goal defeat against Leicester Coty broke the team morale, but their sudden rise has brought intense competition in the second half of the table.

On the other hand, things have gotten worse for Tottenham Hotspur, Harry Kane would be ruled ut for the next few matches for the North London club after he picked up a hamstring injury.
