Japan Vs England Dream11 Prediction: The SportsRush brings you the Dream11 prediction between Japan and England.

England have already qualified to the Round of 16 of the Women’s World Cup as they are set to take on one time World Champion Japan. England are in the driver’s seat in Group D with 6 points in 2 games. Meanwhile, Japan’s 1 win and 1 draw means they’re yet to qualify. A draw would be enough for them but they’ll need a win to go ahead as group toppers.

3rd placed Argentina still have a chance to go through as ‘Lucky Losers’ if they manage to get all three points against Scotland.

England vs Japan Dream11 Team

Formation: 3-4-3

GOALKEEPER

Ayaka Yamashita: Yamashita has done a good job thus far for her team in the World Cup. She’s flexible and agile, and can make flying saves across goal. The 23 year old also has a clean sheet to her name in the tournament. England have chosen two different keepers in 2 games and haven’t selected between either yet, according to reports. Yamashita seems to be the safer bet for this game.

DEFENDERS

Risa Shimizu: Japan’s fullbacks are some of the quickest and most nimble defenders at the tournament. Shimizu creates one of the highest chances against Scotland including crosses and long balls. She’s most likely to register an assist, or even a goal against England.

Lucy Bronze: English right back Lucy Bronze put in an absolute shift against Argentina winning the Man of the Match. She won 100% of her tackles, was fouled twice and put in 3 accurate long balls. She’s easily been one of the best defenders at the tournament, if not the best, and is the favourite to register direct goal contributions and even a clean sheet against strong opposition.

Alex Greenwood: Lucy’s partner in crime, Greenwood is also of the same profile. An attacking fullback with incredible flair and an eye for pass. She attempted the most crosses in the two England games. Greenwood causes havoc on the left flank and we can expect another great display from her against Japan.

MIDFIELDERS

Nikita Parris(C): Starting on the right wing for England, Parris has been their most important player. Her ambipedal qualities help her to go around defenders or past them to put in crosses or shoot. She’s been one of the most consistent players for her club for years and that has made her earn a move to Olympique Lyonnais – the best team in the world. She also has one goal in the tournament and being England’s spot kick taker gives her an added advantage in these situations.

Bethany Mead: Mead starts on the left wing for England but can play all positions in attack. She is one of their best creative players with excellent passing qualities. The Arsenal forward also possesses adept off the ball movement getting into the right place at the right time. Her brilliant finishing gives her an edge over any goalkeeper.

Narumi Muira: Through ball expert Narumi Muira walks into my team with ease. She plays Central Midfield for her team but paves her way forward as the game possesses. The 21-year-old has started both games for Japan, and could be the difference in midfield Japan needs.

Emi Nakajima: Japan’s no. 7 is the first choice right midfielder for her team in a 4-4-2. Nakajima is very good at dribbling and will face a very tough test against Alex Greenwood in the upcoming match. Shooting isn’t her best quality but she can deliver pin-point crosses from the wing.

FORWARDS

Yuika Sugasawa(VC): Sugasawa is Japan’s best bet to find the back of the net. She’s already scored once in the tournament, and being Japan’s first choice penalty taker her odds of scoring are higher than most in her team.

Jodie Taylor: One of England’s two first choice strikers, Jodie has already registered her name in the scoring books in this edition, in the start vs Argentina. She won the man of the match award in this game, where they dominated their opposition for 90 minutes, only to score once.

Ellen White: The other half of this strike partnership is Ellen White. She’s different from Jodie, and likes to take regular shots. Her distribution to her wingers in attacking situations is also great, which makes her the complete package.
