Karim Benzema to China

Karim Benzema to China: An unnamed Chinese club has bid €50 for Real Madrid’s out-of-form forward, Karim Benzema.

Real Madrid are going through a rough patch at the moment. The club is at fourth position in the La Liga with only 14 points from their first 8 matches. Moreover, jJulen Lopetegui’s side is goalless in their last four matches across all competitions.

The Los Blancos also suffered their first Champions League loss in 30 games against CSKA Moscow last month.

The defending champions of Europe have struggled ever since the beginning of the new season. Real Madrid is yet to seemingly recover from the departure of Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo, and the injury crisis has further worsened the situation for Julen Lopetegui.

The speculation over Julen Lopetegui’s future at the club has begun, and Florentino Perez has been urged to make some signings by the Real Madrid fans. The club oversaw the departure of Danilo, Morata, Ronaldo, and Kovacic in the last two years. In return, Real Madrid’s only significant signings were Courtois, Mariano, and Odriozola.

However, Real Madrid might be on the brink of losing another star player.

Karim Benzema to China?

The Frenchman has been underwhelming for Real Madrid since a few years now. According to Spanish reports, Real Madrid has received a bid from an unnamed Chinese club for Karim Benzema in the region of 50 million euros.

However, it is also understood that Karim Benzema is not inclined to accept the offer, as the wages are similar to what he earns at Real.

The French forward was touted as the main man, alongside Gareth Bale in the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo this season. However, the French forward has scored four goals in the league and has been largely ineffective for a major part of the season.

Karim Benzema has earlier spoken about considering a move away from Real Madrid.

“It’s the best club in the world. It’s a pleasure and I’m very proud. The expectations are always high and you start every season with zero and you have to work your way up to the maximum level,” he said.

“Playing in another team or retiring here? If I am in the starting line-up then there is no need for me to go anywhere else.”
