Liverpool Transfer News: Serie A star issues 'come and get me plea' to Jurgen Klopp

Domenico Berardi has issued a come-and-get-me plea to Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool has become an iconic destination for the players after establishing themselves as European force under Jurgen Klopp. The German International has totally changed the fortunes of the club by stabilizing them and challenge for the major trophies since he has taken over the club in 2015.

Sassuolo superstar Domenico Berardi, who has been tipped to leave the club over the last three years, has cited that Liverpool would be his preferred destination if he decides to leave the Italian outfit.

Speaking to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Berardi said: “And if I hear that it is the right proposal, to be taken on the fly, this time I will say to Sassuolo: ‘I’ll take it.’

“Being able to choose, I would play in Liverpool.

“Changing remains difficult for me, but it no longer frightens me, I would do it.  The next goal is to play in Europe, but at a club where I can be used a lot, if not always. That is my priority.”

Since making his debut in 2012, Berardi has gone on to make 211 appearances for the club, scoring on 65 occasions. The Italian International is playing as a striker this season, but he has the capability to play both the flanks making himself as a versatile forward.

Sassuolo are tenth in the Serie A table and Berardi has spoken about his burning desire to play in European competition for next season. He is contracted with the Italian outfit until 2022 and an offer around 40 million would be enough to seal Berardi’s signature.

The forward will not be guaranteed a place in Liverpool’s starting lineup, but he could act as backups to the front three. With Xherdan Shaqiri, Divock Origi, and Domenic Berardi, Jurgen Klopp will have options from the bench to make a difference when required.
