Marcus Rashford pens heartful message on racism post George Floyd's death

Marcus Rashford pens heartful message on racism post George Floyd’s death which has caused massive outrage and protests.

Marcus Rashford, who is very vocal on societal concerns on social media has posted a heartfelt message after George Floyd’s death, who was pinned to death in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The English striker claims that it took him long to speak on this issue, as like many in the world, it has affected him personally too after seeing the brutality captured on the camera.

But on Monday Rashford posted a message on Instagram giving his thoughts on the current scenario of the world. “I know you guys haven’t heard from me in a few days. I’ve been trying to process what is going on in the world,”

“At a time I’ve been asking people to come together, work together and be united, we appear to me more divided than ever. People are hurting and people need answers”

“Black lives matter. Black culture matters. Black communities matter. We matter. #justiceforgeorgefloyd #justiceforahmaudarbery #justiceforbreonnataylor ” read the social media post by Rashford.

The attack on Floyd by Minneapolis police caused massive outrage among the people in the United States and have initiated a battle to end the structural racism and alleged police brutality on blacks.

Many celebrities across the fields have joined in to show solidarity, especially black celebrities, who somewhere associate with the discrimination faced in society.

In the last game-week of Bundesliga, Jadon Sancho, Achraf Hakimi, Marcus Thuram and Weston McKennie were seen marking their support to the protests happening after the death of Floyd.

Racism has also been a part of football, where the players with colour have been subject to chants by rival fans or unacceptable remarks by the opposite players and FIFA has been engaged in a long fight against it.
