Mason Greenwood Signs New 4 Year Deal At Manchester United
The starlet has sealed his future at the club till 2025
Ever since the bygone season, Mason Greenwood has been on the uptick. The wonderkid endured a stellar 2019-20 Premier League campaign, one which saw him go on a rampage in the tailend of the season.
Although he’s not managed to emulate those electric showings this season with him being left on the periphery of the club’s playing 11, Greenwood has still managed to come up with some solid showings. Well aware of his capabilities, Manchester United have moved quick to nail down the striker at the club.
Greenwood has ended up signing a new deal with his ongoing employers, one which will see him remain at the club till 2025. The contract also includes an option to extend his spell by a further year if deemed viable.
Greenwood Extends Future At The Club
“When you join the club at seven years old, you just dream of playing for the first-team one day,” Greenwood told the club website. “I’ve worked so hard to reach this level and the last two years have been amazing. There is so much that I want to achieve in the game and I know that this is the perfect environment to play my football.
“With the support from the manager, his coaching staff and so many great players to learn from; I know that I am developing every single day. There is a lot more to come from myself and this team and I am so committed to working hard week in, week out to help the group achieve success.
“I want to repay the club for the support that everyone has given me over the years and show everyone just what I am capable of.”
Greenwood is bound to partake in his side’s forthcoming Europe League showdown with Real Sociedad on Thursday. The tie will be a sublime opportunity to celebrate his new deal with a match winning display and add to the 4 goals he’s struck in 29 appearances this term.
