“Anthony Davis is the most talented NBA player”: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar heaps praises for the Lakers star calling him his favorite frontcourt player
NBA legend Kareem Abdul Jabbar states that Lakers superstar Anthony Davis is his favorite frontcourt player in the league currently.
There is no doubt that Kareem Abdul Jabbar is one of the top 10 players to ever play in the NBA. The Hall of Famer was known for his trademark skyhook shot.
One of the greatest centers to ever grace the NBA hardwood. Kareem is a 6x NBA champion, 6x NBA MVP, and 2x Finals MVP.
The 19x NBA All-Star won his 1st title with the Milwaukee Bucks in 1971, where he was also crowned the Finals MVP. The veteran averaged 27 PPG and 18.5 RPG on a 60.5% shooting from the field.
However, Kareem rose to the limelight during his stint with the showtime Lakers. The 2x scoring champion won 5 championships with the LA Lakers and was the Finals MVP in 1985.
The Lakers legend is an all-time scoring leader, with 38,387 career points.
Kareem played 14 of his 20 seasons with the LA Lakers. The legend would continue his association with the franchise as an assistant coach, where he won 2 championships in 2009 and 2010.

Despite being away from the game for a while now, Kareem continues to keep a tab on the league. The Lakers legend is often seen doing interviews and being part of various events associated with the NBA.
The 6x NBA champion recently had some kind words to say about Lakers big man Anthony Davis,
“I have a favorite big man and he happens to play in LA and wear number 3, Anthony Davis, I think he’s the most talented. Defensively in the paint, he’s awesome. Offensively in the paint, he’s awesome, and then he can go out on the perimeter and be a problem. He can hit the 3 consistently or the mid-and long-range jumper. So, I would have to go with him.” said Kareem Abdul Jabbar
Anthony Davis is the player that I mostly resemble but I never shot 3 pointers like he does.. However all other aspects of his game are similar to mine https://t.co/5sRO6fIFIY

Kareem even spoke about 76ers big man Joel Embiid and the 2021 NBA MVP Nikola Jokic during the conversation. However, Kareem believes that Embiid and Jokic still have a lot to prove for him to put them ahead of Davis.
Kareem’s words certainly are of high magnitude and shall hold a special place in Davis’ heart, especially since both the players in question have a strong association with the Lakers franchise.
The LA Lakers should be one of the top contenders entering the 2021-22 NBA season. Since LeBron James and Anthony Davis would be healthy and at the same time, the front office of the franchise are doing all they can to make the supporting cast around the superstar duo strong.
