Clippers vs Mavericks TV Schedule

The Dallas Mavericks will take on the Los Angeles Clippers in game 3 of the first round NBA playoffs this season. Here we look at the Match Preview and TV Schedule for the game.

The Dallas Mavericks will take on the Los Angeles Clippers knowing that they have been the better team over the course of the first two games. With Luka Doncic lighting up the series in his first ever playoff trip, the Clippers have floundered to contain him.

With a team comprising elite defenders like Paul George, Patrick Beverley and reigning finals MVP Kawhi Leonard himself, the Clippers will be expected to do better or else might see the Mavericks walking away with a 2-1 lead.

It can be argued that if not for that absurd ejection of Porzingis in the first game, the Clippers would have found themselves 2-0 down. However with such a deep roster, the Clippers will be expected to come back strongly against the Mavericks in game 3 in what has been a widely entertaining series so far. Watch out for the duo of Doncic-Porzingis who have looked in great touch in the two games so far.

Mavericks vs Clippers preview

Multi-time all-star will be expected to put up a better performance tonight as the star looked massively out-of-touch in game 2. George ended up with 14 points and 10 rebounds as he made 4-17 shots from the field.

Kawhi Leonard scored 34 points in game 2 but will expect more from George, Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell on the offensive end. Patrick Beverley’s absence haunted the Clippers and Doc Rivers will hope that he is ready to return tonight.

The Mavericks on the other hand have relied entirely on sophomore guard Luka Doncic to run the offense. The star has responded brilliantly as he managed a stat line of 28-8-7 to lead them to a victory.

With Porzingis bossing the rim and able shooters in Seth Curry and Hardaway Jr., the Mavericks have taken their regular season into the playoffs. The Mavericks offense was carried by the likes of Tim Hardaway Jr., Seth Curry, and Trey Burke when Doncic landed in foul trouble.

With a victory putting the Mavericks in the driving seat, the Clippers need to bounce back strongly to assert their dominance in the series. Although the scoreline suggests an even contest so far, any critic in the league would agree that the Clippers haven’t looked like a team which has been touted to win the NBA championship by many this year.

The Clippers need to find their groove tonight as another loss would put the Mavericks in the driving seat as superstars like George and Leonard might end up getting bruised by playing so many high octane games in a span of week or so.

Mavericks starting line-up: Luka Doncic, Seth Curry, Tim Hardaway Jr., Kristaps Porzingis, Maxi Kleber

Clippers starting line-up: Patrick Beverley, Paul George, Kawhi Leanord, Marcus Morris Sr., Ivica Zubac
