Paul Pogba Transfer News: Manchester United superstar set to join team training with the contract extension talks fueling.
According to a report by the Athletic, Manchester United’s superstar Paul Pogba is set to return to the training with his teammates on Tuesday after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer gave his squad the weekend off following the suspension of the Premier League.
This will be for the first time when Pogba will be taking part in the training since his right ankle operation in January. The report further states that Pogba is personally working with Michael Carrick in the training.
It is reportedly done to bolster the mobility of the ankle of Pogba. Further, the French Interational can join the squad in the next Premier League match of Manchester United.
The match against Tottenham Hotspur, which was set to be played on last Sunday but got postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic could have been little early for Manchester United to involve Pogba.
But Ole Solskjaer did talk about the possibility of bringing him for the match in the press conference before the scheduled clash against Spurs. “I had a nice conversation with him the other day and I don’t think he’d be against it if I asked him,” he said.
But the sudden break in the Premier League has allowed the Red Devils to ease in the return of Pogba into the squad. Meanwhile, there have been talks of Pogba extending his stay at Manchester United.
Contradicting the earlier reports of him moving out of the English club this summer has now overturned to Pogba looking ahead to stay at the Old Trafford.
The French International just have 1 year left in his contract from this summer, and Manchester United might be forced to sell him if anything concrete is not negotiated by this summer.
