Benjamin Mendy is currently out of action as he recovers from a meniscus injury.
Manchester City have made a strong comeback in the Premier League title race after a stunning defeat to Newcastle United.
City were aided by Liverpool’s drop in form as the side dropped four points in their last two games. Liverpool were held by Leicester City and West Ham United and will host Bournemouth in their weekend fixture tomorrow.
Guardiola interacted with the media for the pre-match conference earlier today and talked about Benjamin Mendy, dropping an F-bomb when suggested by a media-person that the player is in Hong Kong.
Guardiola swears on live TV:
Benjamin Mendy tagged himself at the Hong Kong airport in an Instagram story on Friday morning.
One of the reporters questioned about the Instagram story to Pep Guardiola in the press conference. The Manchester City manager was bemused and swore on live television.
“Wow, I didn’t know. F***, he’s a lucky guy. He said he was going to Paris but Hong Kong is far away. I need to download an Instagram account,” Guardiola said.
“Yesterday he was in Barcelona. It will definitely not be OK if he is in Hong Kong.”

PEP 💬 Tomorrow Liverpool play before. I don’t think they feel the pressure. They wanna play good and win the games. I think they will be there until the end. We have to win our games, that’s all.
The Premier League decide when we play.

“I have a lot of respect. The game Sunday is a final for us. We have to play in that way,” the City manager said.
Manchester City are currently at the top of the table, but Liverpool have a game’s advantage after Guardiola’s side played against Everton on Wednesday night.
PEP 💬 At Chelsea, I understand what they want to do and they are doing it.
Good organisation, offensive and defensive, they know what they want to do. It’s a final for us. We have to play in that way.
