PKL 2019: Schedule and streaming details, first match to be played on 20th July. The Final will be played on 19th October.
VIVO Pro Kabaddi league is back with its 7th season. India’s biggest Kabaddi league will return to the July- October Window this time round and will air all its matches at 7:30 pm.
Bangalore Bulls beat Gujarat Fortune Giants last year to claim the trophy for the first time. The Bulls will try their best to hold on to their title. While the other 11 teams will attempt to prise the trophy into their own folds.
Anupam Goswami, CEO, Mashal Sports Pvt Ltd and League Commissioner, VIVO Pro Kabaddi announced:
“India’s biggest kabaddi league is all set for a milestone Season VII, as it returns to the July – October window in the country’s annual sports calendar. To improve the overall experience for spectators and television viewers, Season VII will commence each of its city-legs on Saturdays and matches will begin at 7:30 pm throughout.”
“We take pride in the way all our stakeholders and partners, particularly VIVO Pro Kabaddi franchises and the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India, are collectively engaged in making kabaddi a major front ranking sport in India,” he added.
VIVO PKL 2019 Schedule
The first match of the league is scheduled between Telegu Titans and U Mumba on 20th July. Following that, defending champions Bengaluru Bulls will take on Patna Titans on the same day. There will be a total of 137 matches in the tournament. 132 in the league stage and 5 in the knockouts.
Just like last year, the knockout phase will consist of two eliminators between the 3rd and 6th team and the 4th and 5th team. The winners from the eliminators will then face the two top ranked teams for a place in the final. The tournament will conclude on 19th October.
Pro Kabaddi League-VII will broadcast on the Star Sports Network channels (Star Sports 2 and Star Sports 2 HD). The matches can be streamed live on Hotstar.
