Eder Militao to Real Madrid

Real Madrid have put off by Porto’s negotiations in the January transfer window.

Real Madrid are planning for plenty of shuffles after the completion of this season. The likes of Marcelo, Isco, and Luka Modric seems to on their way out from Santiago Bernabeu after a brief spell.

In terms of incomings, it is understood that the Los Blancos are negotiating for Mauro Icardi, Christian Eriksen, Eder Militao, and Luka Jovic to bolster their squad. During last month, there were plenty of suggestions that Florentino has won the race for Porto’s Eder Militao who has impressed most of the scouts this season.

The report said that the Los Blancos have met his agent to close down the deal for a summer move. But, extraordinarily, Marca report that Real Madrid wanted to make a move during the January transfer window, but they were put off by the Portuguese Club.

It is understood that FC Porto are seeking a training fee for Eder Militao. Compensatory training fees can be demanded for the players between 12 and 21. The Portuguese outfit alleged fell that they are entitled to earn 6 million euros should they want the Brazilian from Porto.

With the payment valid until the age of 23, the buying club must take care of the player’s former club by paying which is determined by FIFA’s own valuation experts. The figure depends on the number of years the player has represented for the parent club.

The report added on that Real Madrid did not want to pay that amount, and could enter into negotiations once again to resolve this matter as they eye to lure him to Santiago Bernabeu soon or rather than later.

It is also understood that it is the only hurdle the Los Blancos are looking to clear and it is the thin line of difference to make him as second signing after the capture of the Brazilian starlet Rodrygo.

Eder Militao is one of the young gems in Europe right now. The Brazilian moved to Porto from Sao Paulo to Porto last summer and has been one of the integral members of the Portuguese outfit squad.

The Portuguese outfit have lost only one game when he was on the pitch this season. Besides, they have conceded just 14 goals from 27 appearances, and have leaked 7 goals in three games without the Brazilian. Apart from getting deployed as a centre-back, he has the capability to play as a right-back and defensive midfielder which comes as an added advantage for the teams that are keeping an eye on him.

Even though Real Madrid look favourites, they will need to battle with Manchester United and Liverpool who are keen to secure the services of the Brazilian.
