Real Madrid team news: Real Madrid predicted line up vs Athletic Bilbao

Real Madrid team news: The Los Blancos will take on Athletic Bilbao in the La Liga. We take a look at the Real Madrid predicted line up for the game.

The Los Blancos faced another setback in their pursuit for a second-place finish in the La Liga.

The side was held to a 1-1 draw by Leganes in the league. With this result, Real Madrid are now four points behind Atletico Madrid in the table, who registered an easy 2-0 victory over Celta Vigo.

However, Zinedine Zidane would want to end the season on a high as Real Madrid takes on Athletic Bilbao in the La Liga this Sunday.

The side has had a decent season so far and would aim to further cause troubles to Real Madrid, as they aim to displace Valencia for a place in the Europa League qualifiers. Bilbao are currently 7th in the league and stands three points behind Marcelino’s side.

As Real Madrid gears up for the league clash, we take a look at the Real Madrid predicted line up vs Athletic Bilbao.

Real Madrid predicted line up vs Athletic Bilbao:

Goalkeeper: Keylor Navas

The goalkeeper has been the first-choice player ever since the arrival of Zinedine Zidane at the club, and is expected to take his position in front of the goal when the side takes on Athletic Bilbao.

Defence: Carvajal, Varane, Nacho, Marcelo

Sergio Ramos is still recovering from injury, while Alvaro Odriozola has suffered from a broken collarbone. And so, we expect Carvajal and Nacho to feature in the side.

Marcelo could also retain his place in the side, with Raphael Varane leading the defence in the absence of the Real Madrid skipper.

Midfield: Valverde, Casemiro, Modric

Toni Kroos is doubtful for the game, which could provide with another opportunity for Fred Valverde to impress the Real Madrid faithful.

Zidane is expected to field the same midfield from the game against Leganes.

Forward: Isco, Benzema, Bale

Gareth Bale’s inclusion in the side is likely to be the only change from the line up for the Leganes game. Karim Benzema has been in brilliant form over the last few weeks, and he has a chance to overtake Ronaldo’s league goals from the last season.

Isco is set to partner the duo in a three-man attack.

Real Madrid line up:

Navas; Carvajal, Varane, Nacho, Marcelo; Valverde, Casemiro, Modric; Isco, Benzema, Bale
