RR vs DC Dream 11 team Prediction: IPL Dream11 Fantasy Tips for RR vs DC| Match 40 as The SportsRush helps you form the best Dream 11 team.
DC are riding on some brilliant performances from its top order and sit pretty at the number 2 spot in the table, something that not many would have expected at the start of the tournament. RR on the other hand are languishing at the other end of the spectrum, plagued with ‘panicking in crunch situations’.
However, with a change in leadership in the last game, RR managed to get a win on the board, thanks to that fighting knock from Steve Smith.
Another game at home and Steve Smith would be hoping to leave the team in good stead when he and the Englishmen leave in a week’s time.

DC on the other hand would welcome an away game, as they have been woeful at home and would love to build on their away form with a win in Jaipur.
Let’s get to business now.
RR vs DC Dream 11 team Prediction
Wicketkeeper for RR vs DC Dream 11
For the wicketkeeping slot, it is going to be a straight shootout between Pant and Samson. Rishabh Pant should return to his preferred number 4 spot, now that DC have done away with that little experiment with Munro at 3.
Thus, it is essentially between Samson at 3 and Pant at 4. While both these batsmen have been woefully out of touch in the second half of the IPL, I would take that leap of faith and bring in Pant, who I feel has the ability to make greater impact than Samson on his day.
Bowlers for RR vs DC Dream 11
Jaipur has been a difficult ground to score runs on this season and hence I will go in with two of the best death bowlers on display for this game.
Rabada has been the lynchpin of that DC bowling attack this season. He has 280 Dream 11 points to his name and has accumulated a large fraction of that because of his role in the DC bowling setup. 2 overs at the death with Rabada’s skill and precision and you could help yourself to a lot of Dream 11 Fantasy points with Rabada in your side. Moreover, the RR lower middle order isn’t quite known to tear apart bowlers and hence one can bank on Rabada not going for a lot.
Jofra Archer would be my second bowling pick for this game. He too has been brilliant for RR at the death. While luck wasn’t on his side in the initial few games, Archer has been picking up wickets in the last 3 matches. He has 183 Dream 11 points to his name and is the second best bowler on display for this game, get him in.
Shreyas Gopal and Lamichanne
Shreyas Gopal and Sandeep Lamichanne are the premier spinners for their respective teams. The rise of leg spinners in the world of cricket has been brilliant and these two have two be right up there for their respective teams this season. While Lamichanne hasn’t gotten much game time, whenever he has, he has delivered the goods. Coming off a 3 wicket spell in the last game, I will get him on the basis of skill and current form.
Shreyas Gopal too has been deadly with the ball this season, with things ticking off for him since that spell against RCB where he picked up the wickets of Kohli, ABD and Hetmyer. Ever since, he has been the go-to bowler for RR, taking advantage of that sluggish nature of the Jaipur wicket and those long square boundaries. Get him in.
All-Rounders for RR vs DC Dream 11
Ben Stokes would be the only all-rounder that I get in for this game. Stokes was left out for one game by RR but was drafted in for the last one by Steve Smith. His role in that RR setup is enough to warrant him a place, as he bowls 2 overs at the death and gets to bat at number 5.
Even if Stokes hasn’t been at his best, his dual role tilts me towards him, as RR is giving him all the opportunity to get some Dream 11 points in his bag. Get him in.
Batsmen for RR vs DC Dream 11
Shikhar Dhawan and Shreyas Iyer anchored DC’s chase in the last game against KXIP to perfection, taking their team home when it could have been a tricky little chase vs KXIP at home. Both Dhawan and Iyer have been in great form this year and have been coming up with crucial knocks for their team whenever needed. On a pitch that would need some application from the batsmen, you need to get both of them in.
Steve Smith was the man of the match in RR’s last game vs MI, anchoring the chase all through and finishing he game off in style. While Smith’s position was being questioned early on in the season, his match winning knock against KXIP should silence his critics.
For the final two batting picks, I am going in with top order batsmen, as the pitch in Jaipur deteriorates over time and hence the best time to score is when the ball is new and hard.
Thus, Prithvi Shaw and Ajinkya Rahane would be my last two pick for this game, as they open the batting for their respective sides and have been in decent enough form.
Captain: Shikhar Dhawan
Vice-Captain: Steve Smith
