RR find themselves in a massive fix going into the business end of IPL 2019. With just 4 points on the board, RR now need to win all their remaining games to ensure that they have 16 points at the end of the league phase.
In the past teams have also qualified with 14 points, but RR will want to be safe with 16 on the board. But they have a long way to go before that and they’ll have to get going from the game on Saturday afternoon against the mighty Mumbai Indians.
MI have got momentum on their side, winning their last two games, with the last one coming on the road against DC. Hardik Pandya has been firing on all cylinders for MI this season, especially with the bat, scoring massive runs at the death.
Both teams would be looking for a win on Saturday, with RR being the more desperate team, as a loss on Saturday could mean curtains for their IPL 2019 playoff hopes.

Wicketkeeper for RR vs MI Dream 11
For the wicketkeeping slot it is going to be a straight shootout between Sanju Samson and QDK. While Samson has a century to his name this season, he has gone missing ever since. QDK on the other hand is MI’s top scorer and was in the top 5 run scorers this season before the KKR and RCB game began. Get QDK in.
Bowlers for RR vs MI Dream 11(Jasprit Bumrah, Jofra Archer…)
The Jaipur track has been a little tricky this season, offering something for the bowlers, especially those who are ready to change the pace and let the ball grip the pitch.
Also, it gets a little tough to score at the death in Jaipur, especially with three of the finest death bowlers on display on Saturday. Jasprit Bumrah and Lasith Malinga have shouldered the responsibility to bowl at the death for MI and have done so admirably. They have been the best in the business at what they do for sometime now; don’t go into this game without the duo MI duo.
For the third bowling pick, I go in with another death bowling specialist in Jofra Archer, who has recently also started taking wickets, having earlier been content with just economic spells. Archer has been one of the finest exponents of death bowling this season and should be able to stop that mighty MI middle lower order on Saturday; get him in at all costs.
All-Rounders for RR vs MI Dream 11(Hardik Pandya..)
Hardik Pandya has been the biggest reason for MI sitting pretty at the number 2 spot on the IPL table, as his exploits with the bat have helped MI score so much needed runs at the death. He has won 2 man of the match awards for the same and has also contributed decently well with the bat. Get him in at all costs; he could tear apart that RR bowling on Saturday.
Krunal Pandya’s role in the MI team warrants him a place in my side. He has been batting at 5 to help the team with that left-right combination all through, and thus gets a lot of opportunities to score runs with the bat. And with the ball, Krunal has been used for his full quota of 4 overs in almost all games, giving him a lot of opportunities to shower us with fantasy points. On a ground that is a little bigger than the other one’s in the tournament, his left arm spin could come in really handy. Also, RR have 5 right handers in their top 6 and thus Krunal could be a real menace.
Batsmen for RR vs MI Dream 11(Rohit Sharma, Jos Buttler…)
Jos Buttler has been included as a batsman by the Dream 11 game from the last game. One of the most prolific batsmen of this edition of the IPL, Buttler loves playing at Jaipur and could fancy the ball coming onto the bat from the MI bowling unit. Amongst all the batsmen on display for this game, Buttler is the best possible pick.
Rohit Sharma hasn’t lived up to expectations this season but has shown signs of coming back to form with small little cameos at the top of the order. With the kind of class that he possesses, it is only a matter of time that he gets back to his scoring best. Also, with a lot of Fantasy money at our disposal for the RR vs MI game, it really does not do you much harm in investing with him.
Rahul Tripathi was promoted to the top of the order in the last game and did not disappoint one bit, as he brought up a half-century for himself, albeit one in a losing cause. With a 50 under his belt, Tripathi wouldn’t be pushed down the order and could ride on his form to help himself to a handsome score against MI too.
For the final batting pick, I would go in with Suryakumar Yadav, as I always go in with batsmen who play in the top 4. While Surya was pushed to number 4 in the last game to accommodate Ben Cutting at the top, I don’t see that happening against RR and even if it does, Surya should be playing at number 4 itself. Amongst the batsmen on display for this game, Surya is best fit, going by batting position and form.
