Shkodran Mustafi rated higher than Joel Matip in FIFA 20

Shkodran Mustafi is rated higher than Joel Matip in FIFA 20.

FIFA20 is about to get released in three weeks time. Since the game is getting unveiled on September 27, fans are craving for news and information about that game.

Player rating and icons generally absorb interest from the fans, who are not prepared to wait too long. Thankfully, some of the ratings have already been leaked online.

Lionel Messi was rated higher than Cristiano Ronaldo, while Liverpool duo Mohamed Salah and Virgil Van Dijk are rated at 90.

However, there was a bizarre move from the Electric Arts (EA) which saw Van Dijk’s partner Joel Matip getting ranked lower than Arsenal’s centre-back Shkodran Mustafi.

The Cameroonian International has been one of the standout players for the Reds since the turn of the year, while the German has been the opposite by committing numerous mistakes.

A twitter account named BrokerFUT, who leaked all the ratings before, confirmed that the Liverpool centre-back is behind Arsenal’s defender in the FIFA20 rankings.

Mustafi is rated at 83, while Matip is rated at 82.

Don’t know what was EA thinking.

Joel Matip has grown in statures since the turn of the New Year. He was the fourth choice after losing his spot to Joe Gomez and Dejan Lovren during the first part of last season, but the landscape has totally changed. The former Schalke defender has not only produced dominant displays in the Champions League victory, but has been standout performers alongside Virgil Van Dijk.

On the other hand, Shkodran Mustafi had a catastrophic season, after losing his place to every available centre-back at the club. The Gunners tried to sell him in the summer transfer window, but there were no potential suitors for former Valencia defender.

The two players are enjoying polar opposite spells in their respective careers, but EA Sports still have the one at his lowest point edging ahead on the ratings.
