The conundrum that is Rooney
Rooney returned to the starting line up in mid-week. He managed a goal in a losing effort. The weekend once again saw Rooney in the starting line-up, this time on the left wing.
His performance ranged from the bold to the bewildering. He managed to turn in two straightforward assists for Zlatan. At the same time he managed to lose the ball occasionally.
With Ibra banned for the next match against Arsenal, there is a chance that Rooney is called up to lead the line.
