WATCH: Hamilton makes pit lane entry error, punished
Lewis Hamilton comes into the final F1 weekend as a 5 time Formula 1 world champion and would want to end the season on a high.
And while Abu Dhabi has been pretty good to Hamilton until now, as the FIA allowed him to have the ‘number 1’ on the nose of his car, things didn’t quite go according to plan in Free practice.

Hamilton actually overshot his pitlane entry in free practice and then reversed his car to get back into the pits.
The stewards looked into the incident and have handed Hamilton a reprimand. This being Hamilton’s second reprimand of 2018. Hamilton could be in for a 10 place grid penalty if he is handed another reprimand in FP3 or during qualifying.
The first of the reprimands happened during Hamilton’s Hockenheim win, where he overshot the pit lane entry, but got away with just a reprimand, much to the annoyance of a lot of Vettel and Ferrari fans.

Hamilton hasn’t quite had the best of practice sessions today, with Bottas leading the pack after FP2. The Brit would be hoping he can put in a good performance in qualifying tomorrow so as to end the season on a high.
As far as the rest of the grid in concerned, Raikkonen, Alonso and Ricciardo are in for an emotional weekend, as Kimi and Daniel are moving on from their existing teams, whereas Alonso is moving on from the sport altogether.
