Zaheer Khan believes AB de Villiers helped Kohli develop his game
Former India pacer, Zaheer Khan, has recently said that AB de Villiers has played a massive role in developing Virat Kohli’s game and helped him in taking his game to the next level.
Two of the best batsmen of this generation, ABD and Kohli share a very close friendship, as the pair have helped each other to raise their games.
This is Zaheer had to say,
“Virat Kohli, when he started wasn’t great at playing a pull shot but within a year, he is just like waiting for someone to bowl a short delivery. So that just happens by conversations with players like AB de Villiers and spending time in the nets,” the 39-year-old further added.
This is what Zak had to say about Rohit Sharma,
”Rohit will certainly open, he is too good a batsman to bat at number 4. If you even look at his statistics, if he faces 10 deliveries than the initial risk of that new ball is out of the way and then the sky is the limit. Rohit can even give you 100 runs in 20 overs if he faces 60 deliveries.”
Kohli has certainly become one of the best players in world cricket right now, as the Indian skipper has quickly become one of the greatest batsmen to play the limited overs format.
Both Kohli and ABD will hope to finally take RCB to the IPL title this year, as the team’s fortunes will rest firmly on the shoulders of the superstar duo.
Let’s hope for Bengaluru’s sake that Kohli and ABD can inspire them to the title!
