MS Dhoni finger injury: Veteran Indian cricketer suffers hairline fracture on finger
MS Dhoni finger injury: The legendary Indian cricketer has succumbed to a hairline fracture due to an injury which happened in World Cup.
Former India captain and current wicket-keeper batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni is currently serving the Indian Army. It was for the same reason that Dhoni made himself unavailable for the ongoing tour of West Indies. The 38-year old cricketer is undergoing his training for the parachute regiment of the Indian Army in Kashmir valley.
If reports are to be believed, Dhoni will hoist the Indian flag on the Independence Day in Kashmir before returning back from his training. Dhoni is the first Indian cricketer to undergo this training.
You’ve probably seen him at most cricket grounds.

MS Dhoni finger injury
During the recently concluded ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, Dhoni had injured his finger while batting in the match against England. In a recent interview with In.com, a source has mentioned that Dhoni has suffered a hairline fracture.
“[MS] Dhoni injured a finger during India vs England match. However, he continued to be in the game even after the injury. The intensity of the damage is so high that it is speculated to be a hairline fracture. It’s hurting the former captain of India so much that he cannot even close his fist,” the source was quoted as saying.
The source further added that Dhoni played the remaining matches despite being injured. The primary reason why Dhoni didn’t reveal the injury was in order to not get disqualified for the ongoing army training.
“Dhoni wanted to keep this injury a big secret. He didn’t want any fuss around it. In fact, he has not even got it scanned by the doctors in order to avoid the beans getting spilt.
“The big reason behind this being the Territorial Army. He didn’t want the injury to get officially detected for obvious reasons, as he didn’t want to get disqualified for training,” the source added.
