Harry Maguire condemns Twitter trolls who racially abused Paul Pogba
Harry Maguire condemns Twitter trolls who racially abused Paul Pogba after he missed a penalty against Wolverhampton Wanderers in their Premier League match last night.
Last night Manchester United had the opportunity to go top of the table. Having beaten Chelsea 4-0 last weekend, the spirits in and around the team was very high. United even managed to take a lead in the 27th minute courtesy an Anthony Martial stunner.

The lead was nullified by the Wolves in the 55th through Ruben Neves though. United then took the game by its horns and searched for the winning goal aggressively. Fortunately for United, they were gifted a penalty via a foul on Paul Pogba inside the 18-yard box.
Manchester United won a penalty against Chelsea last week as well. Marcus Rashford had then taken the spot kick and successfully converted it. However, last night, it was Paul Pogba who took the responsibility. The French star hit the ball with power but failed to beat Rui Patricio.
By 90 minutes both teams failed to add another goal and Manchester United returned with a solitary point. This infuriated a lot of fans who expressed their displeasure at the mid-fielder. However, some fans went too far and began racially abusing the World Cup winner.
Paul Pogba’s teammate Harry Maguire has now taken to twitter to condemn the trolls. He called the act disgusting and called for a verification process to access social media. He then demanded the need to stop trolls on Social Media platforms.

The Twitterverse backed Maguire and supported the world’s most expensive defender for voicing his opinion. Racial abuse in football is a serious concern and it is heart-warming to see players defend their own, letting them know that they are not alone.
