Jasprit Bumrah likely to miss Bangladesh Tests in November
Jasprit Bumrah likely to miss Bangladesh Tests: The Indian fast bowler might have to wait before his comeback to cricket.
It appears as if India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah will continue to miss cricket for more than just the Test series against South Africa. Part of India’s squad for three-match Test series against South Africa, Bumrah was ruled out due to a stress fracture in his lower back.
Having made his Test debut against South Africa in Cape Town last year, Bumrah has picked 62 wickets in 12 matches at an average of 19.24, an economy rate of 2.64 and a strike rate of 43.7. The 25-year old fast bowler has registered five five-wicket hauls in Test matches.
Injuries are part & parcel of the sport. Thank you for all your recovery wishes. My head is held high & I am aiming for a comeback that’s stronger than the setback.🦁 pic.twitter.com/E0JG1COHrz

Jasprit Bumrah likely to miss Bangladesh Tests
As reported by Hindustan Times, Bumrah is likely to miss the Bangladesh Tests as well. It is being said that Bumrah will require time to recover and that attaining fitness before November seems difficult.
“You can say that the team is looking at a return for the West Indies limited-overs series. The team management is very clear that they want no shortcuts and undergoing a proper rehab and returning fully fit is vital. The Bangladesh series would be too early,” the BCCI source was quoted as saying.
The unfortunate development means that Bumrah is set to miss a three-match T20I and a two-match Test series against Bangladesh in addition to the South Africa Tests.
With Bumrah becoming an integral part of India’s Test team, he will definitely be missed in what would have been his first home season with respect to Test matches at home.
The Indian selectors have named Umesh Yadav as Bumrah’s replacement for the South Africa Tests. Yadav will form a three-man pace attack alongside Ishant Sharma and Mohammed Shami.
After the T20I series in November, India are scheduled to play two Test against Bangladesh. While the first one will begin from November 14 in Indore, the second one will begin from November 22 in Kolkata.
