Why does Sreesanth hate CSK: Kerela pacer opens up on hatred for MS Dhoni-led franchise
Why does Sreesanth hate CSK: Veteran fast bowler was vocal about his hatred for one of the most successful franchises in the IPL.
Having last played for India during the tour of England in 2011, fast bowler S. Sreesanth will be once again eligible for selection in all BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) tournaments from September next year.
After his ban was reduced to seven years recently, the 36-year old fast bowler was vocal about making a comeback at the highest level and playing under current captain Virat Kohli.
Having made his Test debut in 2006, Sreesanth had picked 87 wickets in 27 Tests at an average of 37.59, an economy rate of 3.62 and a strike rate of 62.2. Upon the reduction of his ban, Sreesanth had also talked about touching the 100-wicket mark in Test cricket.

Why does Sreesanth hate CSK
In a recent interview with The Indian Express, Sreesanth opened up on his hatred for Indian Premier League franchise Chennai Super Kings.
In a short anecdote, Sreesanth revealed how he requested the then Rajasthan Royals coach Paddy Upton to let him play in a match against CSK. The fast bowler also clarified his alleged brawl with Upton and the then Royals mentor Rahul Dravid.
“Mr Upton, touch your heart and touch your kid’s heads, did I ever abuse you either during India team or in IPL? I want to ask the legend Rahul Dravid, someone whom I respect and love, when did I ever fight with him? When did I abuse with him the way Upton said in his book?
“I requested Upton many times to let me play that game — only because of my history with CSK and because I wanted to defeat them. He made it out differently that I wanted to play as if for fixing. Everybody knows how much I hate CSK, I don’t have to say.
“People might say because of MS Dhoni or N Srinivasan sir or whatever but that’s not the truth; I just hate the yellow colour. I hated Australia for the same reason. Most importantly, I have done extremely well against CSK that’s why I wanted to play,” Sreesanth was quoted as saying.
