Manchester United Vs Arsenal: 3 reasons why Red Devils could defeat Arsenal | Premier League 2019/20
Manchester United Vs Arsenal: 3 reasons why Arsenal could defeat the Red Devils in the much anticipated Premier League match on Monday night.
Manchester United will face Arsenal in much anticipated Premier League match on the Monday night. Both the teams are struggling to be in their targeted top-4 after the results of last 6 games.
The Red Devils are marred with injuries as Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial are ruled out due to injury they picked up in previous games.
Ole Solskjaer is forced to place Mason Greenwood in the lineup to lead the forward line, as he does not have any other options up ahead.
Adding further, Manchester United’s midfield is also very weak with the absence of Pogba, who picked up a knock on his ankle in the last match. Thus, the pair of Scott Mctominay and Nemanja Matic is doing no good to the club.
Coming to Arsenal, the Gunners don’t have much problems in terms of injury, but they will be still without Alexandre Lacazette, who is a key figure at the club.
Otherwise, Arsenal do have their resources at their places. However, Manchester United cannot be taken lightly by the North London club, as the Red Devils can still win the tie, as the below three reasons explain.

1. Manchester United defence

One of the saving graces for Manchester United this season has been its defence. Especially whenever Harry Maguire has played for the Red Devils.
In the 6 games, Manchester United have conceded 6 goals but at the same time have kept clean sheets in two of the matches. Maguire and Lindelof have been a reliable pair at the back.
Further, Aaron Wan-Bissaka has also been phenomenal in the matches he has played so far this season. The only concern is the left side of the defence from where most number of attacks are being made.
Ashley Young has been deputed over there in recent matches with Luke Shaw picking a hamstring injury. Nevertheless, 3 defenders do have enough caliber to thwart the chances of Arsenal scoring a goal.
Thus, if Manchester United’s defence gives a great performance on Monday, the Red Devils can surely add some pressure on the Gunners.
