Hazard: Roman Abramovich names Barcelona superstar as Eden Hazard replacement with the latter set to leave the London club.
Chelsea is set to allow Eden Hazard’s departure this summer and would be vying for replacements. Thus, according to a report by Cadena Ser, the Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is set to bid a massive for Philippe Coutinho this summer.
Real Madrid are ready to spend a colossal amount for Eden Hazard and the Belgian International is probably willing to join the Spanish club for better prospects in his peak years.
Moreover, it seems that Chelsea are not willing to further convince Hazard to stay as Chelsea’s manager Maurizio Sarri quoted:
“If Hazard is thinking that the history here is finished, then in his mind it is finished,” he said after Thursday’s Europa League semi-final win.” said Maurizio Sarri.
Therefore, Philippe Coutinho seems to be on the radar of the Chelsea owner, in order to make a like-for like replacement for the Chelsea superstar.
On the other, Coutinho has been subject of major criticism by the Barcelona fans as the Brazilian International has failed to make a significant impact this season, despite being the costliest signing of the club.
Further, the Catalan club’s humiliating defeat against Liverpool in the return leg made the Blaugranas even more hostile towards Coutinho on social media.
It has been further reported that Barcelona can let the Brazilian International leave, if any substantial deal is offered. Thus, Chelsea seems to fulfill the demands of the Catalan club but the Blues will first need to have their transfer ban lifted.
