7 crore question in KBC 2019: Ajeet Kumar became the fourth contestant to win INR 1 crore in this season of the quiz show.

The latest episode of renowned quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati once again saw a cricket-related question for the last question worth INR 7 crore. While the same hasn’t happened for the first time in this season, another similarity was the contestant deciding to quit the game.

Hailing from Hajipur in Bihar, contestant Ajeet Kumar, who works as a jail superintendent, ended up winning INR 1 crore after being a rollover contestant from Monday.

Having played exceptionally well, Kumar didn’t hesitate regarding quitting the game especially at a crucial juncture. It is worth mentioning that contestant Sonaj Raj had made a similar decision after he was asked a difficult question regarding Sir Don Bradman earlier in the same season.

“Who is the first cricketer to score two T20 International fifties on the same day in two different matches,” was the question asked to Kumar.

The correct answer to the question was Afghanistan wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Shahzad who had scored two T20I half-centuries on the same day against two different teams during the semi-final and final of the Desert T20 Challenge played in 2017 in Dubai.

Chasing a 150-run target against Oman, Shahzad played a major role in a 91-run opening partnership alongside Nawroz Mangal. Before getting out in the 17th over, Shahzad had scored 80 (60) with the help of eight fours and three sixes in a ‘Man of the Match’ effort.

Continuing his rich form in the final match against Ireland on the same day, Shahzad scored 52* (40) with the help of nine fours and a six as Afghanistan chased a 72-run target in the eighth over.
