Shehan Jayasuriya produces a stunning catch during Sri Lanka vs West Indies 2^nd T20I to dismiss Rovman Powell at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.

West Indies have ended their tour of Sri Lanka with a sweep in the two T20I series. The foundation for the win was laid by Brandon King at the top and Andre Russel coming down the order with their big hitting. The target of 156 was never going to bother the tourists.

Sri Lanka had a rather lackluster outing. However, one Sri Lankan player managed to hog the limelight with his fielding during West Indies’ chase. In the 13^th over of the match, with the Caribbean side cruising to a victory, Rovman Powell, sent a ball flying to the deep.

Shehan Jayasuriya then plucked the ball in the deep while backtracking. He showed incredible awareness to toss the ball up just before in the air just before his head hit the ropes. He then managed to collect his composure and complete the catch.

As good as the dismissal was, in the end, it was merely a footnote as Andre Russel smashed the ball all over the park during his 40 ball 14 that effectively ended any hope Sri Lanka had following Powell’s dismissal. West Indies won the match with 7 wickets and 3 overs to spare.

Earlier in the match, the West Indians bowled well to restrict the hosts to 155 for 6 in their 20 overs. Dasun Shanaka top scored for them with a 24 ball 31 while Fabian Allen was the pick of the West Indies bowlers with 2 wickets for 24 runs in his four overs.
