Timo Werner to Chelsea confirmed: Blues youngster accidentally confirms the German’s arrival while interacting with fans on social media.
For much of the current season, Timo Werner has called for Liverpool, labelling them the greatest side in the world. The compliments were reciprocated by the club on numerous occasions and it seemed but a matter of time before he would join the Reds.

The coronavirus pandemic has however brought a twist to the story.
With the Reds unwilling to pay £53m in the current financial climate for a player they couldn’t guarantee a starting place, Chelsea have swooped in and are currently working towards bringing the German to Stamford Bridge in the summer.
Timo Werner to Chelsea confirmed
Chelsea fans have eagerly been waiting for the club to announce Werner’s arrival since news of Chelsea’s interest broke. However, the Blues have remained tight lipped so far. Chelsea youngster Armando Broja however, was not nearly as careful.
He appeared to accidentally confirm the transfer on an Instagram live.
“What do I think about Werner coming in? I think Werner is a really good player. He is really fast, strong, he can score a lot of goals,” the young striker said according to the Daily Star. “I’ve watched him a lot of [his games] on YouTube, he is quite good. That is a good signing, I think.”
Apart from Werner, Chelsea have already added to their attack in Hakim Ziyech who can play on the right wing as well as an attacking midfielder. The club are said to also be interested in Kai Havertz. However, their number one priority this season will be Leicester’s star left back Ben Chilwell.
