Ollie Pope confirms Jofra Archer regaining form: The English batsman faced a nasty delivery from his fellow teammate in the nets.

England fast bowler Jofra Archer seems to have recovered well from his elbow injury which ruled him out of the Sri Lanka tour and the 13th season of the Indian Premier League.

Archer, who has made a stunning start to his international career on the back of 22 matches across formats in the last year or so, has found a place in England’s recently announced 30-member squad for the three-match Test series against West Indies.

Bowling to batsman Ollie Pope in the practice nets, Archer put on display a nasty delivery which was equally well left by the 22-year old Surrey batsman.

Pope, who had uploaded a story of the same on his Instagram handle, found the video on The Barmy Army’s Twitter handle. “Earlier this week, @JofraArcher revealed scans have shown his elbow injury has fully healed. Let’s hope @OPope32 can vouch for that…” read the caption of their tweet.

Pope, who is expected to have faced more such deliveries, agreed to Archer returning to bowl at full pace. Pope, who has played in seven Tests till date, is expected to get more opportunities in England’s Test middle-order during the imminent summer.

On the other hand, Archer appears set to walk back into the English XI as he will face his native country in West Indies for the first time in cricket’s ancestral format.
