Barcelona are looking to sign Chelsea’s forgotten man

With just a week to go until the transfer window ends, it is little wonder that Barcelona are panicking at the moment.

Neymar left the club weeks ago, and the fortune that Barcelona got in return has remained untouched. It would have definitely hurt Barcelona’s pride to see the likes of Dortmund and Liverpool playing hardball over their respective players.

While Dembele and Coutinho both wanting to move to the Nou Camp, their respective clubs are are digging their heels and not letting go of their star players so easily.

So much so that Barcelona are reportedly looking to sign PSG’s Angel Di Maria, as they are losing patience with both Liverpool and Dortmund.

While Di Maria would add both quality and pace in the front line, he would not be enough if Barcelona wish to go back to the elite of European football.

Reports have come out today that Barcelona are still looking for an wide man, which is why they are looking very keenly at Chelsea’s Willian.

The Brazilian was an integral part of Jose Mourinho’s team, but found his first team opportunities limited under Conte. Somehow the Italian never fancied the Brazilian, which is why he may consider a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer.

This is what Willian had said in an interview recently,

“I signed the contract because I like being a Chelsea player and I see good things here.”

“I signed a new contract and that shows how much I want to stay here. But the simple thing is that I want to win titles.”

“To win titles you have to improve and if we can do that then we have a great chance to win titles this season. We have the players to do this – and the manager.”

Funny how quickly things can change isn’t it?
