Last night was huge game for Tottenham as they looked to shock the world at the Santiago Bernabeu. This Spurs side has been growing in stature over the last few years under Pochettino and have established themselves as a force in the Premier League.

On a personal note, it was a huge night for Harry Kane as the young English striker was playing for the first time at the historic stadium. It was a big night as he could have announced himself to the world with a great performance. But it was not to be, as Real’s superstar was the one to get on the score sheet.

The legendary Cristiano Ronaldo scored a penalty and was always threatening for Real last night. He hit the post early on and then saw a couple of shots saved by the keeper as Real’s number seven looked to be in the mood.

At one particular point in the match, Ronaldo went on a scintillating run as he beat three Spurs defenders before unleashing a fierce drive. Unfortunately for him it was parried away by Lloris, which prevented what could have been one of the goals of the year.
