“Blake Griffin posterizes Giannis Antetokounmpo!”: NBA fans react to Nets star body-bagging the 2-time MVP as Brooklyn takes 24-point halftime lead in Game 2
Blake Griffin has been one of the revelations of this season for the Brooklyn Nets. His poster on Giannis underlines just how good he still is.
The Brooklyn Nets were supposed to be disadvantaged in this series as early as 43 seconds in. James Harden went up for an assists at the start of Game 1 and came down with a hamstring strain.
The Beard is not playing for the first few games of the series, so Steve Nash had to make quick adjustments. Nash succeeded at this task with aplomb, particularly with the aid of Blake Griffin.
Griffin was possibly the best player in Game 1 of the series. He’s certainly been on fire against Giannis, who beat his Pistons team in the 2019 NBA playoffs in a first-round sweep.
It seems like he’s out to exact revenge for the lopsided nature of that series now that he’s on a better team. And what better way to make your rival and successor eat humble pie than to dunk all over his face?

The moment of the Nets-Bucks first round series thus far is undoubtedly the poster dunk by Blake early this game. The former Clippers and Pistons All-Star slammed the ball home as Giannis rotated a tad too late to stop him in his tracks.

Blake’s dunk elicited a tidal wave of reactions across the interwebs. The Bucks were commonly looked at as the biggest threat the Nets would face this postseason. But given their play in 3 halves thus far, NBA fans are now resigned to the Nets cantering to their first NBA title.

The Detroit Pistons are definitely catching a ton of strays in this attempt to make sense of Blake’s resurrection. Griffin is clearly in the most favorable position possible in the NBA for his playing style, so him mailing it in with Detroit this year gets no sympathy from fans.

There really is something about when a player changes environments and goes to play with a capable roster. Some players can truly shake off injuries impeccably when they get there.
