WATCH: Salah and Coutinho combine to give Liverpool the lead at the Emirates

The festive fixtures are underway and Liverpool wouldn’t mind the little present given to them by Salah and Coutinho in the 26th minute, combining in rather scrappy fashion to give Liverpool the lead at the Emirates.

For the first 25 minutes, the game has been pretty fast paced and end-to-end, but no team has really been able to take the attack to the opposition, with next to no creativity in the final third by both teams.

Both teams kept winning the ball back, but couldn’t really do much with it going forward.

But Liverpool managed to convert their first big chance on goal, when Salah drove in from the right side, taking the defender on and poked one into the centre of the penalty box. The ball took a deflection off the defender, ballooned up in the air, and Coutinho met it with a glancing header, to give Liverpool the lead at the Emirates.
