Twitter reacts as India lift their fourth U-19 World Cup
Manjot Kalra starred with the bat, as India beat Australia to lift their fourth U-19 today. Rahul Dravid’s boys were dominant in the final, as they restricted the Aussies to 216, and set themselves a modest target to chase down.
The bowlers set it up, as Nagarkoti, Singh, Porel and Roy all picked up a couple of wickets. Merlo top scored for the Aussies, as his 76 held the innings together and took his team to a respectable total.
In reply, Shaw and Kalra put on 71 runs for the opening run partnership, which set India on their road. After Shaw got dismissed, Kalra took over and scored a brilliant century, as India romped home by eight wickets.
