Alisson keen on move to Real Madrid
The Roma goalkeeper is heavily linked with Real Madrid, and according to reports, Alisson is interested in moving to Spanish capital.
The Brazilian goalkeeper is set to be the first choice for his country in the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Russia. However, he continues to make headlines in the transfer market this summer.
In the last few days, Liverpool and Real Madrid were reported to be keen on signing Alisson from Roma. Now, Marca has reported that Alisson prefers a move to Madrid, giving a major blow to Liverpool’s hopes. Liverpool were chasing Alisson following poor performances from goalkeepers Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet.
Marca has reported that Alisson believes that he can give a stiff competition to Keylor Navas’ position at Real Madrid. The Roma goalkeeper is nonchalant about the managerial change at the club after Zinedine Zidane’s shock resignation.
Alisson played a key role in Roma’s domestic and European campaign this season. The Italian club finished third in the Serie A table, and finished as semifinalists in the Champions League. Roma defeated FC Barcelona in the quarterfinal of Europe’s premier club tournament.
Alisson is currently on international duty with Brazil and is in the 23-man squad for the world cup in Russia. The goalkeeper is set to be the first-choice for Brazil throughout the tournament.

Earlier, Sky’s South American football expert Tim Vickery suggested that Roma might increase Alisson’s price on the basis of his world cup performances. “He’s an excellent goalkeeper. Brazil stuck with him last season when he spent almost the entire season on the bench for Roma. This season people have seen what a great goalkeeper he is,” said Vickery.
A few days later, a video of Brazil’s legendary footballer Cafu went viral, where he seemed to confirm Alisson’s move to Real Madrid.
