The third ODI of the ongoing India’s tour of New Zealand will be played in Christchurch tomorrow. The last match of this Indian tour will be bring back ODI cricket to the Hagley Oval after as many as 20 months.
Having hosted both Tests and T20Is this year, this venue will be hosting a New Zealand-India ODI for the very first time. As surprising as it sounds, India haven’t played even one of the 15 ODIs played at the Hagley Oval in the past.
Hosts New Zealand, on the other hand, have a fantastic ODI record at this stadium on the back of 10 victories and a solitary loss in their 11 ODIs in the last seven years.
