Juanita Vanoy, Who Received $168 Million From Michael Jordan, Revealed Ex-Husband Wanted Marcus Jordan To Be A Girl
A lot of what Michael Jordan accomplished on NBA hardwood during his playing career wouldn’t have been possible without the constant love and support he received from his wife, Juanita Vanoy. Juanita never asked to be in the spotlight but upon marrying Jordan, she handled it better than most.
The two met for the very first time at a Bennigans following a Chicago Bulls game in 1985. Michael fell for her almost instantaneously and in mere 2 years, he would get down on one knee and propose in 1987. Two years following this, they would get married in Las Vegas in November, 1989.
While most marriages start off incredibly positive, this one had quite the hiccup as Jordan refused to believe Jeffrey Jordan, their first born, was his child. Though, after a successful paternity test, it was revealed that Jeffrey was indeed Michael and Juanita’s son.
Michael Jordan wanted a girl instead of boy as his second child
Michael Jordan has always a big family, with him admitting during interviews that he wanted 4 children, as opposed to the usual 1 or 2. during an interview alongside his wife in 1991, Jordan revealed the same. Juanita however, revealed something a bit more exclusive than that.
“Michael would like to have 4 kids. The second time I was pregnant, he was wishing for a girl and I really wanted a boy. Obviously, my wish came true. But we’re going to take it as it comes, we don’t know how many we’re going to have. We do know we’re going to try again and maybe for a girl but we’ll wait and see what happens,” said Juanita.
Jordan would eventually have his wish granted after his second son, Marcus, was born. Him and Juanita would be blessed with their daughter, Jasmine, who now works for both Jordan Brand and the Charlotte Hornets.
Michael Jordan had this wish of his granted two more times
Following his divorce from Juanita Vanoy, Jordan would fall in love with Cuban model, Yvette Prieto, while at a night club. The two would tie the knot in 2013 and have two children together.
Much to Michael’s delight, he would not have just one, but he would have two daughters with Prieto as she would give birth to twins, Ysabel and Victoria.
