Cristiano Ronaldo hits 40 km/h speed in 6 seconds against Spain
Ronaldo was on top of his game against Spain as he scored a hattrick to salvage a draw for Portugal.
Cristiano Ronaldo has an electrifying pace. He has proved it time and again.
And we won’t ever be bored of repeating it again and again.
The Portuguese forward rightfully grabbed headlines after the game against Spain as he scored a hattrick in a 3-3 draw. He opened the scoring merely four minutes after kick-off, and doubled his tally with a shot from outside the box, as David De Gea surprisingly made a howler.
He ended the game with a delicious free-kick which almost curved like a banana to secure the point for his side.

But the goals weren’t the only talking points of Ronaldo’s performance after the game.
Fernando Santos’ team played most of their offensive game on counter-attacks, and put Spain often on backfoot with their tremendous pace.
On one such instance in the 21st minute of the game, Portugal retrieved the ball following a corner for Spain.
As Portugal started a counter-attack, Ronaldo sprinted from Portugal’s box, across the halfway line towards the Spain’s goal within 8 seconds, reaching an incredible 40 km/h speed.
The 33-year old recorded the insane figure inside 6 seconds.
Even when Portugal couldn’t score with the counter, Cristiano Ronaldo’s speed left us in awe.

As Ronaldo’s heroics saved the game for Portugal, he took to Twitter to thank his teammates. In the post-match interview, he stressed on the contribution of the whole team. “Above all we have to stress the efforts of the team. We fought until the end,” Ronaldo said.
Cristiano Ronaldo also became the oldest player to score a world cup hattrick in its history. Portugal will play their next match against Morocco on June 20 at the Luzhniki Stadium.
